A Democratic Milestone

The election, conducted with transparency and integrity, sees the active participation of Anioma citizens from across Middle Tennessee. Members gather to exercise their civic duty, reflecting our core value of Ofu obi bu ike anyi (Together, we are stronger). The electoral process, overseen by an independent committee, emphasizes fairness, with candidates presenting bold visions for cultural preservation, youth empowerment, community development, and advocacy.

After a spirited contest, Mr. Odafi Melvin Emefiena emerges as the newly elected president of the Anioma Association of Middle Tennessee. An alumnus of St. Anthony’s College Ubulu Uku (www.sacu.ng) and a longtime advocate for education and cultural cohesion, Mr. Odafi Melvin Emefiena brings a wealth of experience, passion, and innovative ideas to advance our shared goals.

Born in Asaba, Delta State, and now a proud Tennessean, he embodies the bridge between our heritage and our aspirations in the diaspora. In his acceptance speech, he declares: "This victory is not mine alone—it belongs to every Anioma son and daughter who believes in the power of community. Together, we strengthen our bonds, amplify our voices, and ensure that our children grow up proud of their roots while thriving in their American journey."

Strengthening Ties: President Emefiena's Diplomatic Mission to Nigeria
